AZITHROMYCIN+LACTIC ACID BACILLUS is used to treat various respiratory system infections (like pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis), skin infections (like acne and rosacea), ear infections, and sexually transmitted infections caused by bacteria. AZITHROMYCIN+LACTIC ACID BACILLUS is only effective in treating infections caused by bacteria and not effective for viral infections like flu or a common cold.
AZITHROMYCIN+LACTIC ACID BACILLUS is a combination medicine containing Azithromycin (antibiotic) and Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic). Azithromycin works by inhibiting the production of proteins required by the bacteria for its survival. This slows bacterial growth resulting in the death of the bacteria. Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut.
AZITHROMYCIN+LACTIC ACID BACILLUS may cause certain common side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, and indigestion. It should not be used if you are allergic to it.
